I’m an award-winning Minneapolis newborn photographer serving the entire Twin Cities metro area. My baby photography goes beyond just taking pictures, to celebrating your child’s story. As a mom of three girls, I approach my newborn photography with an empathetic heart, patience, and a great deal of love for you! I am excited for you to join me for a beautiful newborn photo session in my gorgeous studio!

Newborn Session Process and Timeline

Once you fill out your booking form, I will reach out shortly to schedule a zoom call for us to connect.

We will have a zoom call to answer your questions, discuss styling, and select a date! Your $200 deposit and contract are then due.

You’ll receive emails regarding session prep, styling, and more in the month leading up to your session.

Walk in and relax! Each session in my studio is about two hours long, with plenty of time allocated for you and your family to get dressed, take care of baby, have some coffee or tea, and relax!

A week after your session, you’ll receive a preview of your beautiful images! This is when your remaining balance is due.

3-4 weeks after your session, you’ll receive a slideshow of all your images set to music, and your gallery. Within the gallery, you’ll have the option to upgrade or stick with your current collection. For more information about collection offerings, see my pricing page.

As a mom myself, I know that this can be an uncertain time in your life! My goal as your Minneapolis newborn photographer is to put you at ease.

An installment payment plan is available for the Newborn Milestone Collection which provides you with three sessions in one year and a First Year Photo Book.

- A number of full resolution digital images, plus a print credit to be redeemed in your gallery shop.
- Pre-session consultation,
- Complimentary client wardrobe for mom and baby,

- Online gallery with option to purchase fine art print products.

In order to ensure you get your best date, and because we take great care in planning your session, please book at least 2 months in advance of your baby’s due date.

Unlike other newborn photographers, I do not have a mandatory age for newborn photos. The best time is when you feel you will be ready and some families need a week or two to adjust to being a new family! On average, my newborn photo sessions take place when baby is between 2-4 weeks old.

Please schedule at least two months in advance to allow for adequate time to plan your session.
After you complete your client scheduling form you will have a pre-session zoom call with me to select your date and plan details.
PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION

I have prepared a Newborn Session Prep Guide to give you all the details you need to have the best newborn photography experience. This guide contains everything from how to prepare baby for your special day, styling information, tips for a positive experience with siblings, and some of the things you can expect at my beautiful Minneapolis studio.

Prior to your session, you will be sent styling and a link to my client wardrobe from which you may choose dresses and outfits for mom and children as well as a guide for what dad should wear. Your dresses will be hanging in the changing area when you arrive and outfits and wraps for baby will be on a table for you to choose from!

Sessions are baby led and take approximately 1 1/2 -2 hours. We take our time and go with the flow! Time is always allotted for getting ready, diaper changes, and feedings. We never rush. This is your time to simply focus on your baby and enjoy the moment of being together as a family.

No worries at all! Babies can be unpredictable and we listen to their cues. I am a mom of three and I understand what you are going through! I fully expect there will be moments when baby will cry or be fussy. We simply stop, take our time, and meet their needs. Plus, sometimes the most beautiful pictures are when mom is feeding or comforting her child. The same is true for any toddlers that might be a part of your session. I make sure to give them breaks to run off and play in between photos. We will go with the flow! Just know that these moments are expected and embraced!

1. Preserve Your Baby’s Milestones for a Year with the Newborn Milestone Collection
My Newborn Milestone Program is specially crafted to capture your baby's growth and special moments with their family throughout their first year. This collection includes three lifestyle photo sessions capturing your baby and family all wrapped up in a beautiful photo book. These sessions consist of either a newborn, six-month, and one-year session, or a maternity, newborn, and one-year session.
If you would like to have all three baby milestones plus a maternity session, you can add on a maternity session for a discounted rate of $450.
As a special part of this collection, you receive a beautiful heirloom-quality photo book with photographs from each session. In this book, you may include a personal written message from you to your child!
