What Should I Wear for my Newborn Family Photos?

If you find yourself wondering what should I wear for my newborn or family session, here are some tips. What you wear is important. You've invested in having your session and what you wear is key to beautiful pictures.

1) Do not try to "match" instead think about colors that are complimentary. Then you can add different textures from hats, to scarves, to accessories to add visual interest.

2) For newborn sessions, I prefer mom to be in a long dress that allows for flow and movement. I have a client wardrobe just for new moms that provides dresses that are beautiful, yet easy to wear for those moments of feeding and caring for baby.

3) For dads - light and neutral colors: ivory, browns, olive green are all great choices. Opt to roll sleeves up or a short sleeve shirt. Skin on skin with baby is beautiful highlights the strength of dad holding on to his little one.

4) For baby - wraps are wonderful, but so are little white onesies to showcase their little features, fingers, and toes.
