Why do I provide this service?

-
Know that every item I put in my closet is there because I know that it will photograph well in my editing style and create beautiful, timeless images for you! My styling process takes away any guesswork and guarantees that your images will look gorgeous.
-
Not only can shopping get expensive, but it also can take up time that you don’t have. Searching for the perfect options for you and your little ones is simplified and straightforward in my wardrobe saving you time and energy!
How Does Styling Work?
30 Days Before Your Session:
You will receive an email and link to my women’s client closet and children’s client closet. To get started, you can “heart” specific dresses and outfits that you like and save them under your email, or, simply email me a screenshot. You may also opt to have outfits chosen for you, by simply responding to the email with your sizes and color preferences.
Three Weeks Before Your Session:
Contact me as soon as possible to schedule a try on or to confirm which options I should bring to your session. A dressing tent will be available for you to change into/out of your dress. I take care of all the cleaning! Even if you are not planning on scheduling a try on, please contact me to confirm that you would like me to bring outfits to your session!
Read what clients are saying about the client closet:
“Ann Marie is so pleasant and wonderful to work with. I loved not having to worry about what to wear for myself and baby, and her clothing options were beautiful and size inclusive. She is so thoughtful and makes the photo session a breeze, really focusing on the natural interactions with your partner and baby. ”
- Stephanie S.
What’s In The Client Closet?
I have worked to build a closet to fit every woman! Sizes range from size XS to 3X for women, and children’s sizes from 3 months to size 12 for girls, and up to a size 3T for boys.
What Should My Husband Wear?
Colors
-
Choose rusts, sage greens, slate blues, khakis, chocolate browns, and ivories. The men's guide will provide you with links to our favorite picks.
-
Very dark colors, like navy blues and blacks do not photograph well in my style and will make your images look less cohesive. Additionally, Denim can photograph very dark, so please avoid blue jeans! Opt for khakis or brown pants instead.
Pants and Shoes
-
Athletic sneakers or shoes with logos can be distracting in your photos. Wear casual dress shoes or boots instead!
-
This section is in caps because yes, it’s that important! While jeans are often something that many of us feel most comfortable in - especially men - they are not a good option for your photo shoot! They will often photograph very dark or almost black. Earth toned pants are the way to go - they will coordinate with everyone’s outfits the best and create the most timeless look. Unless its light denim, stay away from jeans!
Where to Shop
-
Places like Banana Republic, Gap, and Mango are all good places to start! Whether online or in store, all of these shops will have the colors and styles you’re looking for.
-
I am always here to help! If you are having trouble choosing between pieces or don’t know where to start, reach out! I want to help you be as happy with your images as possible, and that starts with being happy with what you’re wearing!
To simplify men’s styling, I have created a men’s styling guide! Here, you will find examples of the types of clothes I recommend, with links to make things simple if you see something you love! Like always, if you want to run any options by me, please feel free to reach out!
What about my boys?
My closet for boys stops at size 3, so here’s a handy guide with some examples of outfits for your boys! My favorite pieces will always be non-denim overalls, they look great in photos every time. Henley tops, linen pieces, and brown shorts/pants are all great places to start! My favorite places to shop for boys’ clothes are also listed in this guide. These shops should all have options in the colors that will work best with my style! Have any questions or want to run options by me? Shoot my assistant Maya an email at maya@amg-photos.com!
